The exhibition showed 75 works of the collection, for example Chagall, Cèzanne, Braque, Giacometti, Kandinsky, Kokoschka, Klee, Malewitsch, Mondrian, Picasso and others.
In the catalogue "Ausstellungen in Köln 1946-1966 - Eine Übersicht" is mentioned that the exhibition attracted about 30000 visitors, together with the exibition about Wassily Kandinsky the most successful exhibition in that year in Cologne.

.

The catalogue titled the Guggenheim collection - perhaps concerning the future program - as a 'museum of non-objective painting'.  The famous, by Frank Lloyd Wright designed building has been opened 1959.

Compare the exhibition poster of the collection Guggenheim in Paris April/June 1958, showing a motif by Picasso (Czwiklitzer dtv  141), order no.11741 !

Fassbender used the letters "gg" in this posters like the Swiss graphic artist Hans Hartmann for the signet of F.Gygi  - designed in the year!  The relationship to teh Swiss designers are probably.
