Poster for an exhibition of the "international perhaps most famous US-American paintress" (Schaefer/Hachmann 2018, p.406), organised by the Centre Culturel Américain in Paris, printed by Mourlot on laid paper. Cassatt lived in Paris and devoted herself to Impressionism, an art style that the Americans long faulted as “amateurish”.
